New Thermo Office in Boston

Thermo Systems is excited to announce the opening of our new Boston, MA, office! The office, which will initially serve as a home base for three of our team members, will also be home to our growing project and service team within the Boston area. This new shared space sits just 10 miles outside the heart of Boston and 12 miles from the Boston Logan International Airport. With exciting projects at sites such as MIT, GE Aviation, and Harvard, the new space will allow us to better serve our local clients throughout the region.

Haig Monokian, PE, has been with Thermo for 8 years. He recently relocated to the New England area, where he led the opening of our Woburn, MA, workshare space. He has delivered automation solutions in the District Energy, Life Sciences, and Mission Critical industries for Thermo’s clients across the globe. Haig has worked with high-profile clients such as Hudson Yards, NYU Langone Hospital, and MIT. He is an expert at applying his technical knowledge to design and troubleshoot controls for various mechanical systems. Haig has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and earned his P.E. license in 2021.

Cory Grube has been in the industry for over 7 years, with 5 being at Thermo Systems. He has focused on various projects in water utilities, District Energy, Life Sciences, and Mission-Critical data centers. Cory has supported projects for Thermo Systems’ long-standing customers, such as Merck and the National Institutes of Health. He’s a well-rounded engineer with extensive experience in project work, from system design to startup and commissioning. Cory has a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and is currently studying to receive his P.E. in control systems.

Majeed Hallaj joined Thermo as a Control Systems Engineer in the summer of 2022 and has taken on several District Energy and Cogeneration projects in the Boston area since then. He is currently involved in the startup of the St. Gobain CHP with A/Z Corp. He is pursuing his passion for design and HMI by developing controls of mechanical systems and SCADA solutions using Ignition. Majeed has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University.
