Last week in our Pittsburgh, PA office Thermo Systems held the 2nd of our series of bi-annual “Controls for the Cloud Symposiums” hosted by our Mission Critical Engineering Team. The symposium was created as a forum for our data center engineers to share technical knowledge on the mission critical industry, collaborate on Thermo’s data center projects and customers across the country, and build our skills and offerings within the industry. The first symposium, held last May, was such a success as a learning experience for our team that we knew the Symposium would become a Thermo Systems staple. The intense three-day training sessions covered details on customer PLC and SCADA standards, client commissioning protocols, technical details on the systems we work with, and best practices for the successful project delivery of Mission Critical control systems. Included were personnel representing all of our data center customer sites, with several of our employees taking charge as session instructors.
The group also participated in some fun team-building activities after their learning sessions were complete, including hatchet throwing and escape the room! These symposiums are held by our teams in order to better prepare Thermo Systems for our future in the data center and mission critical industry, which is a major focus of ours for 2019. We look forward to continuing to provide the best possible support to our data center customers.
