You heard that correctly! Our entire team of engineers and technicians is now OSHA10 trained and certified. In addition, the engineering managers who oversee each of our regional satellite offices took it a step further and obtained OSHA30 certification! Keeping in line with our newly enhanced safety policy and overall focus, the team was required to complete training in June.
While safety has always been a priority for Thermo Systems, structured safety training has been pushed to the forefront of Thermo’s internal agenda in 2017, and this mandatory OSHA training shows our commitment to that initiative. Trevor Blank, Health and Safety Executive, commented, “Thermo’s renewed focus on safety has been well received by team members and customers alike, elevating awareness and enhancing our overall safety culture.”
In addition to this OSHA training to kick off the summer, we have been requiring a member of each team on our staff to present a safety “Toolbox Talk” each month which corresponds to that month’s assigned safety topic. Keeping safety top-of-mind is something we intend to make second nature to our employees, and we look forward to continuing our safety training through the rest of the year and well beyond. We hope these consistent safety trainings will improve not only the quality of our Thermo employees’ jobs, but the quality of the job sites we work on each and every day for our customers.
