John Solt, our Senior Project Executive, was recently highlighted in a CBS News video for his remarkable contributions with Angel Flight East (AFE), a nonprofit organization committed to providing free air transportation for individuals requiring medical treatment far from home.

John’s involvement with AFE came into sharp focus when he helped Dylan, a courageous young boy who faced significant medical challenges from birth, including open-heart surgery and months in the hospital. When Dylan needed another critical surgery in Pittsburgh, nearly five hours away from his home in Virginia without feasible transportation, John and the AFE team stepped in. They flew Dylan and his family to Pittsburgh for the life-saving procedure, ensuring they could focus on his recovery rather than the logistics.

With AFE facilitating around 1,000 flights each year, we are incredibly proud of John’s continuous commitment and generosity in supporting this impactful cause. His efforts are a testament to the spirit of service that defines our Thermo family.
