Thermo Systems has a higher percentage of veteran employees than ever before, and to celebrate this milestone we are proud to have launched our “Thermo Salute to Service” initiative this Veterans Day. Inspired by the NFL’s similar program, our Salute to Service involves recognizing our veteran employees – which now makes up over 18% of our staff. We created brand new Thermo-branded clothing to aid in our fundraising efforts for the “Thermo Salute to Service” initiative.
As part of our clothing fundraiser, Thermo team members made contributions, which Thermo double-matched to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. We are extremely impressed by the generosity of our Thermo family and are pleased to support The Wounded Warrior Project in our very first year of our Salute to Service initiative. In addition, we are thrilled to announce that Thermo has been awarded a 2019 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor. This award is given to recognize job creators who demonstrate a strong commitment to recruiting, hiring and retaining our nation’s veterans. We are incredibly honored to have received the award in our first year of application and we look forward to continuing our veteran recruiting and hiring efforts as rigorously as we have been over the past couple of years.
