Designing Controls for Resiliency – A Thermo Systems Case Study
Thermo Systems recently shared its expertise in increasing operational resiliency with Control Engineering, CFE Media and Technology. Referring to a successful project for a higher education client in downtown New York City, Grant Kircher and Matthew Rawson of Thermo Systems provide valuable insights on which technologies and applications are producing measurable benefits to increase operational resiliency. The case study, titled How to design controls for resiliency, offers a look at Thermo Systems’ approach to implementing a redundantly-powered uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system for critical control equipment to reduce impacts from power failures. In the end, they were able to increase this NYC Institution’s UPS runtime by 1500%.
