Thermo Systems’ Women in Automation Drive Supports Family & Children’s Services
In the spirit of International Women’s Month, Thermo Systems, under the sponsorship of our Women in Automation (WIA) group, embarked on a mission to make a difference in the lives of women and families across the nation. Now in its second year, this initiative has successfully broadened its horizon, reaching out to new communities, and touching more lives than ever before.
Meghan Mychajliw, our Lead Control Systems Engineer, spearheaded this drive with a vision to uplift and empower alongside her diligent colleagues from Thermo locations across the globe. This year, their efforts expanded to include Thermo job sites, notably extending our reach to Pryor, OK, a new community for our initiatives.
Our company-wide involvement saw approximately 20% of our employees donating to women and children-focused organizations throughout March. This remarkable participation is a testament to the collective spirit of the Thermo team and its commitment to societal improvement. The Thermo team provided an estimated $5,000 worth of donations directly benefiting local women in need. Our friends at The Carlson Family Foundation have also generously stepped forward with a donation of $5,000 to support women in our community. This contribution will be given to Womanspace (https://womanspace.org/), further amplifying the impact of our efforts.
As we reflect on this initiative’s success, we are reminded of the power of collective action and the importance of supporting those who support our communities. We are proud of Meghan, and everyone involved in the Women in Automation drive for their dedication, generosity, and leadership in making a difference.
