Last month, the Thermo team attended the IDEA annual conference in St. Paul Minnesota, where the theme of 2016 was “Embracing Change”. The team was able to attend workshops to learn about emerging technologies in the energy space, network with leaders in the district energy field, moderate some educational sessions, and do some educating of their own by presenting on topics where Thermo Systems excels.

Thermo was chosen to provide expertise with a presentation by Sai Lo, PE, on Microgrid Controls which discussed the functions and benefits of campus microgrids, and a presentation by Jason Wittkamp, PE, and Eric Silk, CEM, on Digester Gas CHP to Lower Costs and GHG Using Advanced Controls. Besides the team’s excellent presentations, the conference was a huge success for Thermo in terms of learning about the needs of potential new partners as well as discovering new district energy projects that fit our expertise. We look forward to continuing our fantastic relationship with IDEA and maintaining our presence at Campus Energy and the annual IDEA shows next year!
