Thermo Systems Launches Women in Automation Initiative (WIA)
As a systems integrator, Thermo Systems employs engineers, technicians, and many other professionals to service our customers in the Life Sciences, Mission Critical and District Energy industries. It is no surprise that these positions are historically filled with men. Though we have seen an increase of women pursuing careers in these disciplines, there is still a huge gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields and technical industries. Recently, Thermo Systems launched the Women in Automation initiative to support the growth, development, retention, and advancement of the women at Thermo Systems.
This new initiative reflects Thermo Systems’ ongoing commitment to support its female professionals at all stages of their careers, providing the opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to Thermo Systems’ commitment to customer success. With over 25 members in the WIA group, they have a mission to encourage and support women to achieve their full potential at Thermo Systems as professionals in the automation industry, enhance job satisfaction and demonstrate the value of diversity an inclusive culture.
“The Thermo Systems vision is for all team members to grow and thrive both personally and professionally and we are committed to sustaining a positive and supportive career platform for the women at Thermo,” said David Musto, President and CEO. “We are excited to launch this initiative as a supportive, inclusive, and diverse culture bolsters Thermo’s ability to deliver excellence to our clients.”
