Thermo Joins Forces with the Microgrid Resources Coalition
Thermo Systems is excited to announce our new partnership with the Microgrid Resources Coalition (MRC), which will support our commitment to providing our clients with resilient energy options. The MRC promotes the implementation and advancement of microgrids, which are local electric systems or combined electric and thermal systems that have the ability to operate in parallel or in isolation from the main electrical grid.
Thermo has been designing and deploying control systems for microgrids for years, and we’ve witnessed the success of these systems in times of need. Two of our clients – Princeton University and NYU – had campuses that were hit hard by Superstorm Sandy, but they were able to keep the lights on in their communities thanks to the resilient power of their microgrids.
Seeing client successes like these drive us to advocate for the widespread use of microgrids as local or emergency power supply options, and joining the MRC as a Principal Member will help us toward reaching that goal.
“Being proactively engaged in our industry community is part of the Thermo Systems vision,” said Thermo President & CEO, David Musto. “Our team members are excited to be part of the MRC to share industry experiences with our colleagues. I am very pleased to join the MRC board of directors and look forward to contributing.”
